Philosophy
The philosophy of the College of Nursing & Physiotherapy is consistent with KNR University of Health Sciences. The college philosophy focuses on the nature of the person, environment, health, profession of nursing and the process of education. Faculty of College of Nursing & Physiotherapy believes that the “Person” is unique and continuously evolving being. Each person has the right to participate in making decisions, which affect health and accept or refuse health care. Health is viewed as a dynamic state arising from continuous changes from wellness to illness and from illness to wellness. Promotion, maintenance and restoration of health is viewed as a complex phenomenon and involves the joint responsibility of individual and health care providers.

- Prabha School of Nursing, Affiliated to Area Hospital, Mancerial, Established in the year1989
and One Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Sai Institute of Health Sciences, Affiliated to CAIMS Hospital & Dist. Head Quarter Hospital, Karimnagar, Established in the year 2004
The faculty of College of Nursing views that a variety of research, education and professional trends are fueling the demand for nurses with advanced degrees. The rapidly changing health care system requires nurses to possess increasing knowledge, clinical competency, greater independent autonomy in clinical judgments and increasingly sophisticated technologies are raising the education needs of nurses.
The faculty of College of Nursing believes that nursing is an integral and unique part of the health care delivery system and shares equal responsibility for the attainment of optimal health for all members of the society.
The faculty of College of Nursing believes that nursing is diagnosis and treatment of actual or potential health problems. It involves preventive interventions. The goal of nursing is to promote health, prevent illness, restore and maintain optimum health. The faculty of College of Nursing believes that education is a life long process and we strive to seek the overall development of the students both personally and professionally.
The faculty of College of Nursing believes that graduate nurses from this institution will render high quality care to individuals, families and communities and also cater to the health care needs i.e. locally, nationally and also internationally. The graduate nurses from this institution will be competent as a Bed side Nurse, Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager an assist in Research work.
Objectives
Upon completion of B.Sc. Nursing degree program the graduates are expected to:
- Assessment of health status, identifying the nursing needs, planning implementing and evaluating the nursing care.
- Demonstrate competency in the skills and techniques of Nursing.
- Participate as a member of the health team in promotive, preventive and restorative health care.
- Demonstrate the skills in teaching, management, interpersonal relations and communications.
- Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.
LOAN & SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility For Admission
- Age limit for admission: Candidate shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission and should not be more than 35 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.Note: Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 3 years in case of SC & ST candidates.
- Gender: Should be a woman.
Educational Qualifications:
- Should have passed Intermediate Examination (10+2) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subject or Intermediate Vocational (Nursing) Examination, Telangana or any Examination recognized as equivalent.
- Should have secured 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects including english in the Intermediate or equivalent examinations.
- Candidate should be medically fit.
- Duration of the Course: Duration of B.Sc. (N) degree program is for a period of 4 academic years including Internship.
- Commencement of the course: The course shall ordinarily commence from 10th September of the academic year.
- Medium of Instruction & Examination: English shall be the medium of Instruction and Examination.
- Working Days in the Academic year: Academic year shall consist of not less than 260 working days including university examinations.
Procedure For Admission
- Application forms for admission and prospectus are to be obtained by the candidate.
- Candidate should submit the application form duly filled in within the prescribed time with necessary documents.
- Attested copy of S.S.C. Certificate
- Attested copies of H.S.C. or Intermediate showing statement of marks obtained
- Attested copy of Bonafide Certificate
- Attested of Conduct Certificate
- Attested copy of T.C
- Attested copy of Community and Nativity certificate
- Attested copy of Migration
- Physical fitness certificate
- 12 copies of recent passport size photographs
Selection Procedure:
The selection committee will scrutinize each application. Merit will be the basis for preliminary selection. Provisionally selected candidates are called for interviews at their expenses. The date and place of the interview will be intimated to the candidates.
